This three-ingredient Cottage Cheese Queso takes five minutes to make! It’s a creamy, cheesy high-protein snack or appetizer that satisfies on all levels.

I love finding ways to add more protein to popular dishes that not only make them more delicious, but more nutritious. Cottage cheese adds a creamy texture and so much protein. The best part is it takes minutes to make. Just blend and microwave for the perfect last-minute cheesy dip or snack.

You only need cottage cheese, taco seasoning and shredded cheese.

I love to make it with sliced carrots and celery during the day for lunch or high-protein snack. I make homemade baked tortilla chips when I serve it as an appetizer!

Looking for a lactose-free option? Transform this recipe by using lactose-free cottage cheese and a hard type of shredded cheese, like Cheddar or Monterey Jack, which are naturally low in lactose.

Other tasty cottage cheese recipes I love: Cottage Cheese Bagels made using just flour, cottage cheese and eggs, and Cottage Cheese Toast with avocado, cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of hot honey. Try Whipped Cottage Cheese, too, for a simple, healthy snack!
