Nutrition Education

In order for kids to follow a balanced diet, they need to first learn just what a balanced diet is.

These nutrition learning units provide schools in Ohio and West Virginia with everything needed to teach a healthy eating program.

Little D’s Nutrition Expedition™

A five food group based nutrition education program that provides hands-on learning for second graders.

Little D's Nutrition Expedition™ transports 2nd grade students back to the time of medieval castles and dragons. Along the way, a cast of colorful characters represent the different food groups, while Little D himself teaches the importance of balance and variety.

Practical activities, interactive online games, and more are provided to help students retain the lessons and make learning fun. The workshop includes a teacher’s guide and supplements health and language arts curricula.

Arianna’s Nutrition Expedition™

This takes fourth-graders on a whirlwind journey around the globe while teaching a five food group based nutrition education program.

Students will enjoy arm-chair traveling with the two heroes- Arianna Bones and Marcus Muscleman. Whether they're solving a mystery or trekking to Antarctica, these two adventurous 4th graders put pizzazz into learning about the importance of good nutrition and physical activity. Online Games provide challenges that allow students to put their learning into practice as they create meals and juggle servings of the nutrient-packed foods they love. Also supplementing health and language arts curricula, this workshop makes learning about nutrition an adventure.
