Why is whey protein good for athletes?

Research shows that consuming a high quality protein like whey, combined with resistance exercise, can boost the rate at which the body creates lean muscle mass and improve body composition.

In fact, a combination of protein intake and resistance exercise yields better results compared to having either of the two alone, and better than supplementing resistance training with drinking a beverage that contains only carbohydrates.

Whey protein is found naturally in cow's milk and yogurt, giving you yet another reason to have your three servings of dairy each day.
