The American Dairy Association Mideast (ADA Mideast) is the Ohio
and West Virginia affiliate of the National Dairy Council (NDC), a
leader in dairy nutrition research, education and communication
since 1915.
On behalf of dairy farmers, ADA Mideast provides timely,
science-based nutrition information to, and in collaboration with,
a variety of stakeholders committed to fostering a healthier
society, including educators, school nutrition directors, health
professionals, academia, industry, consumers and media.
Our staff is comprised of registered dietitians, school wellness
specialists and communications experts dedicated to educating the
public about dairy foods' important role in a healthy lifestyle. We
disseminate nutrition information and materials to support
government recommendations for improved nutrition for Americans,
including consumption of at least three servings of nutrient-rich
low fat or fat-free milk and milk products every day.
Dairy farm families are committed to improving America's future.
In response to our nation's obesity crisis among children, ADA
Mideast is empowering students to improve nutrition and physical
activity at their school and for their own health through Fuel Up
To Play 60, a program launched in partnership with NDC and NFL.
Fuel Up to Play 60 encourages students to work with their school
leaders to create more opportunities for kids to "fuel up" with
nutrient-rich foods like low fat and fat-free dairy foods, fruit,
whole grains and vegetables, and to "get up and play" for at least
60 minutes every day.
